The Proposal of Concept for Strengthening the Competitiveness of Companies on the Market of Interim Management in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a strategic concept strengthening the competitiveness of companies providing services on the market of interim management in the Czech Republic. The literature review contains the selected theoretical framework used in the following sections. The analytical part describes the situation on the selected market, including the identification of challenges, opportunities and problems. The follow-up design part of the work contains a strategic concept of competitiveness developed at the level of competitive advantages leading to the strengthening of the position of companies on the market.

At the level of concept, the thesis focuses on the area of strengthening competitiveness in the interim management market in the Czech Republic. The thesis contains a literature search, analytical and design parts. The literature search elaborates the chosen theoretical framework used in the following parts. The analytical part describes the situation in the selected market and current trends. The subsequent design part of the thesis contains a strategic concept for strengthening competitiveness with the help of competitive advantages.

Number of pages 134. The topics of rigorous thesis are some selected atypical forms of employment and flexible working arrangements that the Czech labor law not yet fully knows and uses. The chosen theme is based on current trends in labor law highlighting flexicurity as a mutual individual employment relationship between employer and employee, which through atypical forms of employment and flexible working arrangements allows the freedom and flexibility for the employer and the guarantee and protection by minimum labor standards on the part of the employee. This paper also briefly compares atypical forms of employment and flexible working arrangement with Slovak labor legislation. 1 Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to analyse a situation in the field of Interim Management in the Czech Republic and to compare and contrast this with the Global Market. Interim Management is a temporary provision of management skills. The project involves comparing foreign literature and studies about interim management to the experience of the people working in the field of Interim Management in the Czech Republic. This thesis describes the moment, when Interim Management was recognised as a useful addition to the human resources in companies. It also provides information about the benefits, interim management can offer. The project involves analysis of a Czech law regarding to the Interim Management topic. This thesis also describes the conditions required to make a good interim manager. This will allow a better orientation within the Czech Interim Management situation and may direct future research on Interim Management in the Czech Republic.
